How to start building other (mockup)websites to continue my training?

Hi guys,

I’m new here and in the world of WordPress & DIVI, so don’t shoot me if this seems like a stupid question 😀

– Bought domain and hosting on Siteground.
– ‘Installed’ wordpress via Siteground
– Bought and installed Divi
– Set up my website
– Installed some plugins to optimize site and SEO
– Made it https://
– Sent to Google for indexing

So… now I want to start building some other (mockup)websites to train myself even further and build Themes, Sections and Modules from scratch to save them as templates.
—> Do I need to buy and add a new domain to Siteground to do that or is there an easy way I’m overlooking?

Thanks in advance for a dumbed down and structured response 😉

Hi and welcome.

You can create subdomains and start building websites there (As long as the package from SiteGround supports more installations.

For me, the best option is to install a program on your computer that lets you install websites like you could in a live server and start experiment there.

Local by flywheel is the best for new users. Xampp is for more advanced

Thank you Stratos. I've been using temporary domains for the moment now. Seems to work, although I'm not 100% sure what the difference is. Also read about Sub-Directories in stead of sub domains... Again, thx for answering :)
